Camano Island Beaches

Camano Island has many unique public and private beaches. Our beaches provide us with opportunities to swim, kayak, paddleboard, crab, fish, and more! Below is some more information to help you spend some time at the beach!


Public Beaches:

The Historic Cama Beach State Park is a local favorite and offers many amenities including: camping. cabins, the Cama Beach Cafe, and the Center for Wooden Boats. (Discover or Day Pass required).

Camano Island State Park offers multiple beach accesses that are public (with a Discover or Day Pass). This includes a boat launch as well as picnic and entertaining spaces right by the water. Accessible from the beach are also many miles of maintained trails.

Iverson Preserve is a unique public beach on the east side of Camano. Iverson provides visitors with: water access, trails (including the Hobbit Trail), views of the North Cascades, and great opportunities to see local wildlife.

English Boom is a public county park on the north end of Camano Island. It offers water access, limited trails, and incredible views, historic information about the timber industry of Camano.

Barnum Point is a beautiful public park that does include walk-in beach access. Visit Barnum to discover miles of maintained trails, beach access, lake views, and an incredible chance to see eagles.

Tillicum Beach is a small public beach on the south side of Camano. Very limited parking an close neighbors.


Residential/Neighborhood Beaches


Starting just past the public beach access for English Boom, Arrowhead Beach is a private tideland accessible only to those that live there.

The road to the beach/community is gated and is only open to owners. This community consists of fewer than 100 homes - stretching along Arrowhead Beach Road from the south, or Tillicum Way from the east. 


Mabana Beach is a private space on the southwest side of Camano Island - perfect for a beach home.

Driftwood shores is another private beach on the east side of Camano Island. This beach offers homeowners a unique life surrounded by water, wildlife, and views of the North Cascades.

Juniper Beach is an ideal place to live on the north end of Camano Island. This private oasis features beautiful homes that are often passed down from generation to generation.

Madrona beach is a private residential beach on Camano Island's northwest side. Located on madrona beach are many incredible homes as well as a boat launch accessible to memebers of the yacht club.

Onamac is a private beach located halfway down the western side of Camano Island. It offers it's residents a peaceful lifestyle and beautiful views.

Located on the south side of Camano Island, the country club neighborhood offers residents many recreation opportunities, such as beach access.

The Rocky Point Neighborhood (on the northwest side) has access to a private, gated  beach. This beach includes limited parking, incredible views, and awesome sunsets.

Tyee Beach, on the east side, is a tight-knit community that enjoys private beach access, endless recreational opportunities, and amazing views of the Cascades.

Utsalady, or Utsalady Point encompasses the beauty of the north end of Camano Island. This is a community that appreciates all the island has to offer.
